L-Root instance launched in Shanghai

BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- L-Root instance was launched in Shanghai Tuesday, said the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC).

This move will further promote the rapid, secure and stable operation of the Internet in Shanghai, east China, and the whole country, according to the CNNIC.

So far there are 1,164 root instances around the world. This root instance marks the 12th that China has introduced since 2003.
